"The Basic Behaviors Profile is an tool for adoption organizations, trainers, and individual horse owners that describes 14 common interactions between horses and humans on the ground. These are typical skills that owners expect a horse to have such as catching, haltering, leading, and tying." ~ The Right Horse
We understand that every horse is different. We wouldn't want it any other way. But with these differences come challenges. Even the most well trained and experienced horse has it's own personality, it's own likes and dislikes and it's own good and bad days.
The Right Horse Initiative has worked with Dr. Robin Foster (click HERE for the background) to develop a standardized process to evaluate horses and potentially create a better match for adopters/placements and organizations doing the work. The following blogs will explain the BBP in more detail!
